Update On Wisconsin Firearm Freedom Act

Wisconsin Firearms Freedom Act

An Urgent Note from State Rep. Michael Schraa…

Dear Gun Activist:

Wisconsin State Rep. Michael Schraa (53rd Dist.).

My name is State Representative Michael Schraa, and I represent the 53rd Assembly District in Wisconsin.

You may not know my name, but you can bet the anti-gunners do…

That’s because I introduced the Wisconsin Firearm Freedom Act: a bill that has the gun-haters seeing red.

My bill would protect Wisconsin from unconstitutional gun control measures being pushed on the federal level.

It would bar local and state law enforcement officers from assisting in the enforcement of federal measures to ban certain firearms, firearm accessories, magazines, or types of bullets.

This bill, the Firearms Freedom Act, sends a simple message to the federal government: Wisconsin will not help you take away our second amendment rights.

That’s not all. The bill also bars physicians from requiring a patient to disclose if they own firearms.

Owning a firearm, or not owning a firearm, is a personal decision that has nothing to do with your physical health.

Patients should not feel intimidated or harassed by their physicians over the exercise of a constitutional right.

Another provision of the bill declares that firearms manufactured in Wisconsin and including the stamp “Made in Wisconsin” are not subject to federal interstate commerce regulation as the firearm has not traveled between states.

According to The Council of State Governments, over 30 states are considering similar bills, and eight have already enacted similar measures.

Now, I know you agree with me that this legislation affords critical protections for gun owners in our state.

The question is, how will we pass it?

It will not be easy. In fact, the Left is already pulling out all the stops to thwart this pro-gun effort.

But even with all of this going on, I am confident we can pass the Wisconsin Firearms Freedom Act, with your help.

I’m asking you to do two things today:

  1. Sign the Wisconsin Firearms Freedom Act Online Petition. My friends from Wisconsin Gun Owners (WGO) will use it to contact legislators and insist they cosponsor my Wisconsin Firearms Freedom Act.
  2. Donate something, no matter how modest, to this fight.Chipping in just $10 or $20 right now will really help WGO’s war chest for this battle. Your contribution will make a BIG difference.

Please do what you can to support the Wisconsin Firearms Freedom Act.

Yours In Liberty,

State Rep. Michael Schraa (R-53)

P.S. – Please sign your Wisconsin Firearms Freedom Act Petition. This legislation is already facing growing opposition. Your support will make all the difference in this fight.
