Full Gun Control Dump, Democrat Hypocrisy on Display

Madison, Wis. — Wisconsin Gun Owners, Inc. (WGO) — Wisconsin’s only no-compromise gun rights organization — announces it opposes extremely dangerous bills introduced to the U.S. House by Shelia Jackson (D-Texas) and other House members of Congress.

Newly sworn-in Democrats and gun grabbers in the U.S. Congress have introduced H.R. 121, H.R. 125, H.R. 127, H.R. 130, and H.R. 167, seeking to gut the Second Amendment from the top down, the organization says.

“WGO decries political violence in the strongest possible terms. Whether it is BLM, ANTIFA, or MAGA, we will never condone political intimidation,” said Thomas Leager, executive director of WGO. “That’s why we’re so puzzled by the introduction of this massive gun control package. Democrats have talked about unity and healing out of one side of their mouth. Then, given the first opportunity, they propose the most polarizing legislation ever, out of the other side of their mouth.”

“How can destroying one of our most fundamental rights, the second listed under the Bill of Rights, be unifying?”

WGO opposes Congress’ attempt to ban certain types of ammo, create a national firearms and ammo licensing requirement, prohibit so-called high-cap magazines, and abolish private non-FFL transfers.

WGO works for grassroots gun owners, not politicians. While many gun lobbies fight for “reasonable gun control,” WGO sets a higher standard: We oppose all gun control — regardless of the political party — and work tirelessly to restore the Second Amendment. WGO has angered many politicians who would like people to believe that they support gun rights — even when they vote against them. Click here to join
