NO WATCHLIST GUN BAN PETITION

Whereas, congress erred in creating secret government watchlists following 9/11, which have not only failed to stop terrorism, but are now being used to catalog and target millions of Americans for disarmament; and

Whereas, any attempt to ban semi-automatic rifles, shotguns or handguns will be viewed as a threat to my rights. The Second Amendment enumerates an inalienable right to keep and bear ALL arms, which are not to be infringed. Semi-automatic firearms are owned and cherished by Wisconsin gun owners and sportsmen; and

Whereas, The National Instant Check System, or NICS, is unconstitutional and places the right of the people to buy and own guns at the whim of a distant computerized system that acts based on data which can be manipulated or redefined, and;

Whereas, EXPANDING NICS to include mental health data will enable any hand-picked “doctor” to use phony mental health science to declare citizens unfit to own firearms … with no due process or right to appeal;

Therefore, I urge you in the strongest possible terms to OPPOSE any gun control packages or “deals” being introduced in the wake of any public tragedies that have nothing whatsoever to do with American gun owners.

I am a supporter of Wisconsin Gun Owners, Inc. (WGO) and will be watching your actions on this issue very closely.
