Online Petition Against a State-Level Semi-Auto Ban

WHEREAS, the Second Amendment and Sec. 25 of the Wisconsin Constitution protects all arms, not just ones with certain action types;

WHEREAS, the original federal “Assault Weapons Ban” did nothing to reduce crime or criminals’ access to semi-autos;

WHEREAS, there are millions of semi-auto firearms, including AR-15s, in the hands of law-abiding Wisconsinites for target shooting, competition, home defense, and hunting, and these firearms have hurt no one;

WHEREAS, the Supreme Court decision in NYSRPA v Bruen specifically designates such a ban as Unconstitutional;

THEREFORE, I urge you to OPPOSE any attempt to ban semi-automatic rifles, shotguns, or handguns.
